The Funniest Friends Memes of the Week (May 29, 2024)

I miss the days when comedic TV shows had 10 seasons with 22 episodes each. I loved when certain plots took a while to develop, and that each season had filler episodes that were there simply for the comedy of it. TV shows today can't afford it, simply because they don't have the time. Each episode has to be crammed with so much plot so that they can give the audience all the information, and with that, the magic is lost.

For example, Ross and Rachel's slow burn took almost two seasons, with the two of them going back and forth with each other, and it just made their love story so much better. Couples in current shows, however, have a slow burn of maybe 5 episodes before they ultimately get together, because the plot simply has to keep moving.
